cool!! just cuz I’m a chick doesn’t mean I’m left out of this, am I? I’m trying to put on a bit more muscle to get a bit more definition so I’m gonna try out some of these ideas in my next routine group. thanks for the tips.

Only the other day that phrase came up. A close family member said something like “That’s the trouble with the do-gooders, they don’t address the root cause…”. I asked him what he meant by do-gooders and he said people that just hand out money and whatnot willy nilly.

I went on to talk about how my wife, back when she was working in a particular ‘do-gooder’ job, attempted to address said root causes. They’re much more complicated than most of us imagine, however – everyone has a different story to tell, and life to untangle.

Absolutely.
Christ calls us to give our lives away.
I think consumerism is actually anti-gospel on so many levels.
This is a big part of our culture that the gospel challenges.

I like the sound of the downloads on the conference webpage – “consumer detox,” is a good way of describing what’s needed.
